That was one of the more premier statements of Martha Myers, slain missionary, murdered in Yemen, former Alabama Baptist. We’ve used her name as a namesake related to our State Missions Offering, the Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering.
Our goal this year is $1.2 million. It covers five great commission ministries, all very important, supplementing what’s in the budget. You can realize that right now, more than ever, we need church revitalization.
Myers-Mallory helps support those very important ministries. Church planting. Now more than ever, we need new churches and new places for new opportunities to reach new people. Partnership Missions. Alabama Baptists are literally touching the world, North America included, and also in our state. Partnership Missions encompass all of that. Disaster relief. Being on mission at a time of great need. The Yellow Shirt Army needs our support. The WMU, our partners in ministry here at the State Board of Missions. This is a major part of their missions and ministry budget.
