Hey, Alabama Baptists. I’ve missed seeing many of you in person. I hope I can do so on November 16-17, as we have our annual convention. As you well know, we did miss it last year because of the COVID outbreak. But this is a time for us to meet at Whitesburg Baptist Church and have a reunion and also have a celebration of what God has done, even in the worst of times.
So I want to thank you for all you’ve done throughout these difficult years, both years, ’20 and ’21. But I want to underscore we as a convention have business to do and fellowship to have, and we need to have a Christ-centered meeting. That’s the theme of our convention meeting. Right after that, of course, we celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a national holiday, but it is a holy day for us, reminding us that every day ought to be a time when we simply say thank you, Lord, for all you’ve done.
