Is there anything going to be new about the new year? Is there going to be anything new about your life and about my life? Well, I would hope so.
When Paul says in Second Corinthians 5:17, he talks about us being a new creation. That is, we’re born again, of course, but we continue to become new in Christ. We walk in the newness of life.
I trust that this new year will be a different kind of year, a turning point in some way. Whether it’s in spiritual disciplines or life purpose, or whatever.
I do know this. That in every year, every month, every week, and every day as well as every hour and every minute, we ought to be kingdom focused.
And therefore my verse for the year this year is Matthew 6:33. “Seek first the Kingdom of God “in His righteousness “and all of these things will be added to you.” Let’s be kingdom-focused in this new year.
