Alabama Baptist, we have been doing a call to prayer, an online call to prayer for several weeks now. In our next one, we wanna focus on praying specifically about joy.
I’m reminded of the passage, a very brief passage, one of the briefest in the English versions of the Bible. I Thessalonians chapter 5 simply says, “Rejoice always.” Now think about that for a moment.
Rejoicing always sounds like we’re going to be on a spiritual high all the time, but actually it means that we have joy in our heart that transcends circumstances.
So the focus next week will be a prayer for each one of us to maintain a joyful spirit in these most difficult of times. We invite you to not only participate via Zoom, but also to ask friends and church family members to be involved in this call to prayer.
Now more than ever, prayer is important. It’s always important, but it’s even more important now.
