Hello, Alabama Baptists! Well, spring is coming. Easter is around the corner, believe it or not. But I want to talk to you about March 16, 3:16 Sunday. It’s an opportunity, as we call it, Engage 3:16, to intentionally present the gospel to people for evangelistic response.
Now, I know we preach the gospel every Sunday, and I know we try to be evangelistic, but this is an opportune occasion for us to present the gospel in such an effective, intentional way that the Lord might bring a bountiful blessing of responses on that particular Sunday. Well, you can go to our website and find a lot of information and resources.
Perhaps the next Sunday will be a time we could call Baptism Sunday on 3:23, March 23, where we can see the fruits of all of that. But keep in mind, as we look toward Easter, the Resurrection Sunday, this is an opportunity for us to have a kind of renewal and revival, a fresh wind of God’s spirit. Let’s join together, Engage 3:16, and look toward the blessings of God which come our way!
