Heavenly Father, Holy Name

We are all preschoolers when it comes to prayer. We never graduate. We never become “Ph.D.s” in prayer. We are always learning the basics over and over. Often, we take the basics for granted.

One way of not taking prayer for granted is by revisiting the Lord’s Prayer.

Beginning with our next online Call to Prayer at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, we are going to focus on the Lord’s Prayer.

The opening line (KJV) is “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”

“Heavenly Father, Holy Name”: This ought to be an emphasis in our lives that we remember. We have a heavenly Father who has a home in our hearts, and we have His Holy Name that reminds us that life is sacred, that His name is sacred and that His character is sacred.

When we live that kind of holy life, reflecting the holiness of Christ, then we know who He is and who we are. Please join us online on Wednesday as we pray.
