Prayerfully consider your gift to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

One of the songs sung at Christmas reminds us this is the most wonderful time of the year. And it is the most wonderful time of the year in so many respects.

We, of course, get to honor and recognize the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, God becoming flesh in the person of Jesus, our Lord. As Alabama Baptists and Southern Baptists, we have an opportunity to focus on global missions, international missions, and our namesake Lottie Moon for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for international missions.

The IMB has a national goal of 165 million dollars. Alabama Baptist, we have a goal of 12 million dollars. It’s reachable.

I hold in my hand an envelope that I’m going to fill out today. It is going to be in amount equal to the largest gift I make to anyone at Christmas. In fact, it’s gonna be a little more than that. I would invite you to put the Lottie Moon Christmas offering right at the top of your Christmas gift list. Because if you do that, your priorities are right in order.

Alabama Baptist, we’re a part of a wonderful missions team. We are delighted to have a stellar leader in Paul Chitwood, as the President of the International Mission Board. Paul is doing an excellent job and our missionaries are on the front lines of service.

So let’s remember, it’s a time to rejoice but it’s also a time to give, the most wonderful time of the year.
